VJ Mediavictim Video Blog #6 - Burning Man 2009 TRAILER /TEASER from Ryan McCann on Vimeo.

This is the video Blog of VJ Mediavictim and Jimmy Deane on their trip down to the Burning Man festival in 2009 to build and run video art and visuals in the Root Society Dome and perform video live at the Opulent Temple (the two largest dance camps at Burning Man) It chronicles the road trip across the US to Black Rock City, and it features the art, music and people of the festival as well as interviews with some key international video artists.

And this whole video as a gift to the community and is available to WATCH or DOWNLOAD here

VJ Mediavictim and Jimmy Deane have been the key visualists and video installation aritsts for the local GVIAS, BurningVan, and BurnBC events doing VJ visuals for all the local parties and fundraising events, creating outdoor video installations at Recompression over the years and helping out individual groups with their own art fundraising projects. However as a consequence of doing all this volunteer work the projectors finally gave up the ghost so NOW THEY NEED YOUR HELP. They are doing a fundraiser to replace the projectors that the rains at Recompression, the raversauce and club-juices of dozens of fundraisers and the playa dust of Burning Man finished off. They are looking to replace or possibly upgrade their projectors to bring even larger-scale video art and VJ installations to local events. To this end they have set up a DONATE button on their website www.mediavictimlabs.com where you can donate to this worthwhile cause

PostHeaderIcon What is the relationship between GVIAS and the Burning Man organization?

The GVIAS is recognized by the Burning Man LLC as the local group who hold "official" Burning Man events and activities within our region. This means that GVIAS may receive support from the Burning Man organization such as listing our events and contact information on the Burning Man website and other similar types of support.

Many other organization  hold events and create projects that are inspired by Burning Man. We encourage these groups and many of these local can be found under our community links section of this website.
