GVIAS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT FOR BURN IN THE FOREST 2014 (referred to as the “Agreement”)

WARNING: This Agreement will affect your legal rights. Please read it carefully. The “Event” – Burn in the Forest 2014 — is to be held Thursday July 10th to Sunday July 13, 2014 at Squamish Valley Campground (hereby referred to as “BITF 2014”).

Do not purchase a ticket to BITF 2014, or attend the event, unless you understand and agree to all the terms of this Agreement.

Assumption of Risks – BITF 2014 is presented by the Greater Vancouver Interactive Arts Society (GVIAS), a Not for Profit Society. All members and directors are unpaid volunteers. Part of GVIAS mission is to support interactive art and artists by creating events featuring interactive art.

You hereby agree as follows:

1.TO WAIVE ANY AND ALL CLAIMS FOREVER against the Greater Vancouver Interactive Arts Society (“GVIAS”), including its directors and production volunteers; (the “Releasees”);

2.YOU FREELY ACCEPT AND FULLY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, DANGERS AND HAZARDS AND THE POSSIBILITY OF PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE AND LOSS RESULTING from the operation of, or your participation in BITF 2014.

3.INCLUDING THE FAILURE ON THE PART OF THE RELEASEES TO TAKE REASONABLE STEPS TO SAFEGUARD OR PROTECT YOU FROM THE RISKS, DANGERS AND HAZARDS OF PARTICIPATING IN BITF 2014.

Confirmation of Agreement – Your ticket is a contract. You confirm your acceptance to all terms in this agreement by each of the following actions:

1) Purchase of a ticket;

2) Receipt of email and downloading the ticket; and

3) Presentation of the ticket for entry to the event.
