To receive the your grant, you must do the following:

Return this signed contract to the Art Grants Committee by August 17th, 2022, or your grant will be forfeit.
Ensure you have given us a valid email address for the e-mail money transfer of your grant.

Grant members are going to ensure your project is at BitF during the event and LNT is going to give us a report on your project after BitF.

100% of your Art Grant will be sent to you in full, via email money transfer, shortly after you sign this contract.

You will not receive funds for your Transportation Grant until after the BITF event, and after you submit receipts and receipt log by the deadline given below.

This grant is awarded only for the project listed above that you have described in your proposal. If you are unable to deliver the completed project, if the project changes significantly and/or fails to meet GVIAS criteria (shown on the GVIAS website), or if your expenses differ significantly from your submitted budget, your grant may not be paid out - at the discretion of the GVIAS Grant Committee.

Artists who receive funding but do not deliver their art will be deemed as not in compliance with their contracts. If you are not compliant this will be logged in your GVIAS membership profile and you WILL NOT be eligible for a GVIAS Art Grant in the future until:

Your art is present at a GVIAS sanctioned event and documented by a member of the GVIAS Grant Committee

You pay back the funds to GVIAS that were awarded to you

Please note the following:

Art Grants will not cover fixed assets totalling 50% or more of your total project budget (e.g. purchase of a drill or speaker), consumable such as food or alcohol, labour costs, or the cost of event tickets
Transportation Grants are designed to assist artists with the cost of transportation of art to/from BITF. This grant will cover up to the approved grant amount listed above and can include expenses incurred to get to/from BITF 2022 within the date range of September 10-20th 2022, such as the cost of fuel, rentals required for transport and/or ferry fares (if you live on an Island). This grant WILL NOT cover the purchase of any fixed assets for transportation (e.g. purchase of trailers, spare tires, etc).

Receipts must be submitted as follows:

You can now take pictures of all receipts, and no longer need original copies. Credit card statements are not an acceptable substitute for a receipt.
Each receipt should have the name of the vendor (store) and its GST number. If the vendor does not have a GST number, the name of the store must be clearly written on the receipt.
You must save your receipts into a single PDF document and upload it with a detailed receipt log (PDF download) and submit on the GVIAS website here: https://gvias.org/grants/receipts/
DEADLINE: All receipts must be submitted by October 14th, 2022. This is a firm deadline, we will NOT accept any receipts after this deadline.
