AGM Date Announcement

Mark your calendars, the AGM for GVIAS has been set!

March 23rd, 7 PM

The Croatian Cultural Center – (The Coat Room)

We’d like to welcome all society members to join us in the most exhilaratingly bureaucratic time of year! See how you can get involved and help grow the society in ways we’ve never imagined before. So put on your thinking cap, or top hat, or funky light bulb hat and help us imagine what could be!

Three Board Seats Available!

At every AGM we also look to have board nominations and voting; this year we have 3 people coming to the end of their board tenure, including our President and Vice-President, which means we’re looking for 3 new board members!!

Could this be you? Do you have a background in event management, non-profit, or project management? Do you have the bandwidth to commit to 6-10 hours a month to the Board?

Experience with legal, contracts, technical documents, insurance, accounting, community art, marketing and web design/programming will go a long way in helping your nomination succeed!

Now if all that didn’t dissuade but instead emboldened your interest, please submit a Nomination Letter to the Board introducing yourself and letting us know why you want to join the Board and what experience you bring with you. Please have this letter emailed to [email protected] by March 11 and be prepared to attend the Greater Vancouver Interactive Art Society AGM on Wednesday, March 23rd and tell the attending members a little about yourself and VOILA you could be on the GVIAS Board!!

If you have any questions, please reach out to any of the existing board members or email [email protected] and we’ll be sure to help you.
