A Busy Month Ahead!

Reminder – Town Hall on Monday, October 21st at 7 pm!

Join us at Trout Lake Community Centre for the Community Visioning Town Hall – and visit the Facebook event in advance to let us know what topics are most important to you. The town hall is an opportunity to discuss your feedback and vision for BitF – members of the GVIAS Board, Production Team and Grants Committee will be present to hear your thoughts.

We will used an amended, Robert’s Rules style format, to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to speak. Topics will be posted in the order of importance as ranked from the Facebook event, plus new topics can still be added. Each attendee will tick off each topic to which they wish to speak. The moderator will allocate time to each topic, based on the tick marks. For each topic, those who wish to speak will be invited to stand – each person will be given a pre-determined amount of time to speak (between 1-2 minutes, depending on the topic), and can sit once done.

Art Grant Feedback

Did you receive an art grant from GVIAS within the last year? Please take this survey to give us your feedback. The Art Grants Committee is looking for ways to make the process better for everyone involved!

Dustcovery Grants

Dustcovery is just over a month away, and grant applications are now open! The venue allows for both indoor and outdoor space, suitable for small-scale interactive and/or artistic pieces. If you’re in need of some funding to make it happen, we might be able to help. Visit the Dustcovery Art Grant page for more details!

Still Looking for a BitF Chair!

The BitF Production Team is in need of a Chair! Are you an experienced facilitator? Are you a self-motivated, talented organizer? Do you have awesome interpersonal skills? Please have a look at the attached role posting! Previous BitF Production experience is not required. The chair will need to be available as soon as early November to start planning and to participate in Production meetings, including the annual retreat. Questions, as well as brief expressions of interest from qualified individuals, can be emailed to the GVIAS Board at: [email protected].
